A Louisiana native, Alice Case has been a Seattle resident for the past three years, where she received her MFA in Painting & Drawing from the University of Washington, Seattle. In her paintings she explores and celebrates the human experience by investigating the complex ways in which we navigate through and prioritize our internal and external influences. Her work is informed by a variety of sources ranging from images, readings, drawings, and other artists, to simply how we interact with the spaces and people that create our world. Her work has been shown throughout Louisiana, as well as the Henry Art Gallery, the Lawrimore Project, and Gage Academy of Fine Art. She has had solo exhibitions at East Shore Gallery in Bellevue and has an upcoming solo exhibition at Phinney Community Center in Seattle. She has taught and mentored painting and drawing classes at University of Washington and has been teaching a variety of painting and drawing classes at Pratt Fine Arts Center in Seattle for over a year.
